Seiko Epson Corporation(TSE: 6724, "Epson")推出了新的差分輸出晶體振蕩器 (SPXO) 系列,可在基本模式3中實現低相位抖動 ,并采用微型2.5 x2.0 x 0.74mm封裝。新產品系列包括SG2520EGN和 SG2520EHN,以及 SG2520VGN 和 SG2520VHN,所有這些都提供了更高的頻率穩定性。愛普生已經開始出貨頻率高達 212.5MHz的SPXO。愛普生計劃于2021年3月開始批量生產頻率范圍為212.5MHz 至 500MHz的SPXO.
隨著第 5 代電信系統 (5G) 的引入以及移動網絡、物聯網 (IoT)、高級駕駛員輔助系統 (ADAS) 和數據中心的發展,電信網絡流量和容量繼續增加。同時,通信信號中允許的噪聲水平較低,網絡設備中使用的時鐘必須工作在高頻和低相位抖動。連接網絡設備的光通信模塊正變得更快、更小,需要頻率容差為±20 x 10 -6或更低的時鐘來實現400Gbps和800Gbps的超高速和80km或更長距離的傳輸。
